Finally
Yep, finally! I’ve connected my newly created Dropbox Account with Blot. This is with the hope of reducing friction for consistent blogging. That said, I’m still on the free Dropbox account. Actually, I’m not sure about Blot account though. I’m not even sure when did I last paid for it. However, it this blogging workflow from Byword to Blot via Dropbox continue to work, I really wouldn’t mind paying subscription for Blot.

1Writer Test
I’m still kind of look out for best writing app to make my posting flow seamless between the app of the choice and Blot platform. A few days ago I tried Ulysses on mac. But, when I composed posts in the app and sent to Blot site, posts did not appear in right sequence though. Not too sure whether it has to with Ulysses or the way Blot app works.
I’ve now set up my Blot posts folder to sync with 1Writer and let’s see how this goes.
Update at @ 11:30 AM Just checked the Blot site and viola! The 1st paragraph of this post appeared there instantly. That was gret indeed.
From simple tests so far with 1Writer app, it does look work much better than on Ulysses. Anyway, I don’t have Ulysses on any of my iOS devices. So when working from iPad I’d be able to compose the posts on 1Writer. Not too sure whether 1Writer is also available on Mac and how much does it cost, if it is.
It is also fascinating how simple Blot is, the way in which it takes any text file in a folder set-up in Dropbox.
In the couch
Cool! I can even drop a image and in turn it appears on Blot site. The only thing is images seem to appear twice - inline with the blog post and also as a separate post only with the image. Not quite sure why does that happen. I need to research further. That would be some other time though. Signing-off
Update @ 12:33 pm Here I’m 1Writer app on iPhone to send an update to Blot site on the go. Hope this will allow me to do posts on the go as much as practically possible.

Are we too much digitally connected…?
I’m here seated in the couch downstairs at home, when I got a message from the daughter who is in her room upstairs asking
Anyone be available to drop me at the train station at 4, because I’m meeting my friends.
I responded
Okay, I will.
Soon after that, I was thinking to myself, why in the world, she could not have asked me in person. I’ve been seeing her almost the whole day at home, she did not utter a word. Was it because, she felt brave to ask in a message rather than face to face in person, assuming that I’d refuse her request? Was it because she was lazy to walk downstairs or even to scream from upstairs to ask it? Was it because she felt that her phone was in easy reach and it was more comfortable to type in a bunch of text?
I thought to myself, what a strange world we live in. Being in a connected world is absolutely fine if the intention is to build & foster relationships and to share ideas & thoughts collaboratively. It isn’t good, if that takes away most important human touch by being able to communicate face to face and express ourselves.
I’m just saying!
